“One of the most distinctive voices I’ve ever heard”, Sir Paul McCartney

The man behind the One Lone Boy moniker is Nikki Murray, whose voice has been described by Sir Paul McCartney, no less, than "one of the most distinctive he's ever heard", and more recently tipped by Guy Chambers (Robbie Williams co-writer) in BBC Radio 2's 'Sold On Song' endorsements from MTV & VH1 in their 'Unsigned Song Of The Year' poll. Check out One Lone Boys earlier work on the Spotify playlist below.

To date Murray has had one EP release and three singles on South Villa Records. For his 'Songbook release' he wants to do something special with the fans who invest by putting them central to his promotional activity alongside more traditional routes to market by working with Songbook's label service partners to help drive PR and promotion across social media.

The Single

The single will feature two tracks and several remixes. One will be a cover version of TWO songs - Murray will merge the songs 'Teardrop' and 'Safe From Harm' by Massive Attack into one song. Both songs will be in the similar vein as Murray's previous material.

Both tracks will make creative use of vocal harmony, acoustic guitar and strings. This style is convincingly demonstrated in Murray’s ’Soul Suicide' track:

One of the remixes will be produced by Murray's good friends - the LA based multi Grammy Award-winning producers Steve Baughman & Alex Elena - aka TWO BEARDS whose credits include multi-platinum album awards for such artists as Timbaland and Mary J Blige.

Promotion

The single will be promoted by Murray pushing content out to his fans via his socials. Songbooks label services partners will work PR and song placements into TV, Film and Commercials for both the UK and USA markets.
