Campaign Starting on 25th Feb
This album will be the first in our series of 'Re-arranged by' releases we’re inviting fans to invest in. The theme - A not so well known artist covers past and notable songs from a hugely famous artist. The album, to be entitled ‘Pretty Things’ features Bruno Heinen’s reinterpretation of his favourite David Bowie songs, played in Heinen's cool and sophisticated instrumental jazz piano style. Upon release, the 10 Bowie songs recorded by Heinen will be promoted by Absolute Label Services into leading piano based playlists on Spotify (piano based playlists are currently seeing huge streaming numbers). All songs will also be promoted by our music supervisor partners in the UK & USA for placement into tv commercials, film and tv. Of which can command high fees for the usage of such songs. See deal terms at the bottom of this page for more info.
A London based contemporary pianist, Heinen has released six albums under his own name on the Babel Label: Mr. Vertigo, Common Spaces, Changing of the Seasons, Postcard to Bill Evans, Tierkries and Twinkle Twinkle. Heinen, a frequent host of the Ronnie Scott's Late Late show, and has performed in venues and festivals including the South Bank Centre, the Shanghai World Music Festival, the London Jazz Festival, Cadogan Hall, and the Royal Albert Hall. He has had his music played on BBC radio 3, Jazz LineUp, Late Junction and BBC6 music.
He recently held the piano chair for two performances of Bernstein's Wonderful Town at the Barbican Centre with the London Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Sir Simon Rattle.
The ten Bowie songs will be played in a solo piano, no vocal, jazz style by Heinen - piano instrumentals. For Bowie fans this is a great way to own a piece of the man himself. Especially for those who also appreciate the soft, spacious and sometimes abstract jazz style Heinen brings - All investments of over £50 will also receive a limited edition vinyl copy featuring their name on the back cover artwork.
Hit play on the playlist and take a listen to the Bowie songs Heinen will cover:
Heinen is to record and master the album in the world famous Livingston 1 Recording Studio in London and recorded on the Steinway B 1955 New York Grand Piano, ideal for the soft and spacious sound Heinen is after for this release.
